| 15 months old in this picture. Chinese custom is to layer the clothes on the little ones. That is why she looks like she is wearing a ski suit, SHE IS!! I'm not sure that custom will last long in Texas though

The following pictures were a God Send for us. We found a website called ZhuZHou Adoptive Families. This is basically a support group for families that have adopted children from the ZhuZhou Social Childrens Welfare Institure, which is were Emily is living right now. Kim, the director of ZAF, replied to a message I send her about our referral for Emily. SHe thought she has some pictures of our daughter from one of her many trips to the orphanage and she was right!! Kim was kind enough to send us these pictures. Emily Rose Yu @ 11 months old. | Taken September 27, 2000. Kim tells us that she is healthy and happy. We asked if she ever smiles since we don't have an picture that shows that. We were told that she is happy baby and does smily alot.

Let's talk about Blessings! Karen saw our referral information on the ZAF yahoo group and sent us the following pictures. She also sent us the two that Kim had, but obviously didn't need to post those twice. Thanks Karen!! All the pictures below were taken on September 27th, 2000 which would make Emily 11 months old at that point. Emily Rose Yu (Guo Yu Er) at the ripe age of 11 months. The lady with her is one of her aunties/nannies for the room Emily was living in at the time.
| Emily is being held by BaWei who is a friend of Kim's. Kim is the person you've all heard us talk about so much from ZAF. She sent us the two pictures above.
| Emily and her aunties. Karen tells us that these are the women that have been taking care of Emily. What a joy it is for us to see their faces. We can't wait to meet them face to face and thank them. Karen is second from the right in the back.
